My First Time Experience
Alex S
So I’m Alex… This is my first time experience. I had never been to any social naturist/nudist place before. It was always private, alone, and usually after dark.
I originally planned on first visiting Lake Edun on a good weather weekday, when there wouldn’t be so many people. I had been reading the website constantly, and knew that I wanted to visit, if not join. I just wanted to read my book and drink some beers, sans clothes, with the latter being out of the norm for me. However, when I saw 95 degree weather in the forecast for Saturday the 6th of May, I couldn’t resist. I knew that I was going to visit, and would probably become a member, so I just jumped in, not knowing what to expect.
I checked in, and actually, I felt more uncomfortable, being the only person dressed, while doing so. These board members were confident and unashamed in their bodies.
I lost my clothes as quickly as I could after that. And, for me, there was no embarrassment, only freedom. Then again, I’ve always been comfortable in my body, no matter the shape.
The first thing I did after plopping down my stuff, was to take a hike around the lake, on the trails. I’ve been able to skinny dip, and be nude in the backyard, but usually after dark. Getting to hike around the lake completely natural in the sunlight was new for me. And it was amazing! I had started that day, with a day pass. By the time I got back to the barn, there was someone who could make me a member there, and I jumped on it. And I’ll never look back. It’s such an amazing place!
After that, I went to north beach, and set up with my camping chair, cooler and bag. I could still just read my book while having some beers. That lasted about 30 mins, and could have lasted beyond that but I met people and the ease of conversation, despite being “naked and vulnerable” was quite the opposite. It was easier to be open with them, in fact. We had nothing to hide, and that translated into conversation.
I spent the whole day conversing with those people down at the dock, some of us in the lake, like me, it was hot! We had all become members that same day. And we had past members in our group as well.
We continued this gathering till late in the night, retiring to the couples campsite for a camp fire. Eventually, I had to leave, and I did not want to. I had all my stuff by the lockers, and procrastinated by taking another dip in the lake. Followed by trying to find my way out by cellphone flashlight. Remembering, after wandering a path, it’s not the right most path on the lawn, but the one left of that..
This place is filled with wonderful people, some of whom I’ve met soon afterwards. But that’s a story for another time.
If you’re thinking about checking out Lake Edun, I highly recommend it, I did, and I’ll be a member for life! It’s an amazing group of people, you’ll always feel welcome, and if you want your privacy to experience it, there are places for that as well. We respect the people visiting, and will endeavor to let you have the best experience possible.
